Use of wildcard * in searches.

Hello,
we have introduced a new feature in your mall.

Visitors can use * as wildcard in the search box.

If they do not know the correct spelling of any word, they can place * in that word and get relevant search results.

a very simple example:

instead of software, they can enter anything like this in the search box:
soft*
softwa*
soft*re
sof*re
etc..

We have seen in our logs that many visitors have misspelled even common terms while entering them in the search box.

The problem is, if they enter misspellings in the search box, it won't show any search results. Instead, if they use *, they can get relevant search results.

This feature is especially useful if visitors do not know the spelling of technical terms or if the visitors are not good at remembering spellings.

exception: it may not work if you keep the * at the beginning of the word

This is an excellent feature.
I know that many people do not know the exact spelling of even common words.
so this feature will help them search the mall easily.

for difficult words, this feature will be more useful!

and for children and less educated people who cant spell correctly.
