The default Tracking id for your CBTopSItes Clickbank Mall links, Search Box and Ads is 'D'.
From now you can use different tracking Ids.
( If you are new to Internet Marketing, do not get confused with tracking IDs )
You may know about tracking ids. These are used to track your sales.
If you have pasted your cbtopsites mall links, search box or Ads in several places, you can understand from where you are getting sales from.
You can also use different tracking ids for different promotional methods and track sales in your Clickbank account.
Tracking id can be of maximum 8 characters in length. ( word / numbers)
For example, if you are promoting using google adwords, you can use your mall link with tracking id like this:
http://cbtopsites.com/r/YourCBNickname&tid=GoogleAd
and if you wish to paste your Mall link on your site, you can use link like this:
http://cbtopsites.com/r/YourCBNickname&tid=mysite
And, if you make sales using these links, you can find 'GOOGLEAD' or 'MYSITE' under TID in your Clickbank account Transactions page.
If you wish to use tracking id for search pages, this is the format :
http://cbtopsites.com/search/YourClickbankNickname/KEYWORDS&tid=TRACKINGID
Replace TRACKINGID in the above link with any word or number.
Similarly, You can use Tracking IDs with your CBTopSites Search Box and Ads.
If you would like to use tracking Ids, you have to get your code again at:
http://cbtopsites.com/affiliates/cbadscode.php
and
http://cbtopsites.com/affiliates/searchbox.php
Also you should replace your old links with new link formats with Trackind ids.
Advantages of Tracking Ids:
1) You can track sales. You can identify from which link or from which search box or Ads you have made sales.
2) You can count the number of clicks received by sites in your Links, Search Results or Ads.
For example, if you have pasted CBTopSites Clickbank Ads on one of your sites and used a tracking Id 'Site1'.
Then, you can find the number of clicks received by sites in your Ads very easily.
You can login to your Clickbank account http://clickbank.com/ and find the number of clicks in your 'Analytics' page.
