No matter what he did to ignore and hide being overweight - wearing baggy clothes, avoiding people and social events, not looking at himself in the mirror, he just couldn't escape from how his weight was making him feel.  He was at the point in his life where he was disgusted with himself and how he looked and how he felt and he just couldn't bear it any longer.  He was tired of being unhappy and ashamed and knew if he didn't do something about his weight soon,  he would die.                   He Was So Desperate To Lose Weight  . . . He Tried Everything Staring death in the face, David went on mission to desperately try to lose weight, find some self-acceptance and most importantly save his life.  He started out by going to the local bookstore and buying some books and magazines on weight loss. Well that didn't work. So then he got on the internet and bought some online weight loss programs. Well, those didn't work. Next he went to the health food store and bought some fat burning supplements.  Guess what, those didn't work either. He tried exercising. He read that cardio was best for weight loss so David slaved away for endless hours walking and walking. He would wake up early every morning before work and walk for an hour on his treadmill and then come home and walk some more.  Nope, that didn't work either. He figured if he "dieted" that would do the trick. So he tried every diet out there. Low carb, no carb, low fat, low calories, Atkins, South Beach, you name it - he tried it.  Every month a new diet came out promising him results. In the end all they did was hinder his results by causing him to lose muscle and slow down his metabolism. He was literally driving himself crazy trying to lose this weight.  He knew it was going to be hard, but he felt like this was going to be an impossible mountain that he could never climb. David literally tried it all, yet NOTHING seemed to work for him. He was in that bad of shape - 409 lbs of bad shape to be exact.
