He soon was introduced to formal lessons from Maestro Carlo Ferrero. Enzo won his first competition when he was six years old. At the age of nine years old his family emigrated to Australia where he continued his studies with a German teacher, Otto Weiss located in Sydney. At the age of 17 years old he continued his studies with Maestro Dante Simonelli who had also emigrated to Australia. Maestro Simonelli had produced Italian and World Champions and under his tutoring Enzo improved immensely, so much so that he was destined to become one of the best accordionists in Australia.
